Today is a fantastic day! All the graces have lined up all the right elements for your absolute best day ever! There simply is no better time than NOW! Actually, there simply is no OTHER time than now. This is what we’ve got, right here, right now. The only difference from person to person is how they think and act in the now. So, get planning, make the effort, invest in yourself and pull the trigger on that back burner plan to take control of things and get on the path to a better life.
There never seems to be enough time, money, energy or whatever drives or holds you back in doing what you need to do to get planning to get healthy, feel better, sleep better, eat better, play harder, laugh more, be present and so on. The key to overcoming these apparent obstacles is to… JUST DO IT! Make the commitment to yourself, your family, your partner, whom ever it is in your world that you are accountable to, and jump in!
The only commodity that is equal for all of us is TIME. We all get 24 hours each day to do what we do and live our lives. We all obviously choose to do different things during our hours, but we all have the same amount of time. Priorities, whether we know it or not, agree or disagree, like it or not, drive our actions. Most people clearly express to me their priority of keeping a roof over their families head, putting food on the table, shuttling the kids around, taking care of their house, family and friends and a whole list of other activities that usually gets explained to me in detail after the words, “I totally need to do this. I know that not doing something is affecting my life, and I want to do this for ME, BUT….”
Most people are experts in making excuses and putting things off, especially health related efforts. This behavior simply needs to stop. It does not serve us, does not help us and profoundly makes things worse in the long run. We simply cannot judge our health by how we feel or if we can simply bear what is going on and get through our day.
So many people have lived with health issues, pain, or discomfort for so long that they have forgotten (at times even say they don’t ever remember) what it feels like to feel good. You know, to feel genuinely good, no pain, well rested, energized, strong, confident, focused, sharp, and ready for life! Many have forgotten that what I just described is our natural state of being, that living with anything less is not natural, normal or right. If we exist with anything less in our lives than that, something is wrong and essentially our bodies are sick.
The funny and fantastic thing is that when we take the steps and make the right efforts to restore our health we begin to return to this normal state of bliss and the body itself simply regulates itself and brings us back to our natural center…. no matter what our health issues are, when we do what needs to be done our body will heal, return to health and grow stronger in every way. So rather than trying to name every pain and woe and treat every symptom and discomfort we should be looking to reestablish our natural state of health and bliss.
